HTTP / Streaming Playback
Many facilities no longer allow mounting SFX hard drives locally for security reasons. HTTP streaming gives you another path — stream files over local HTTP or the web, with full audit trails for facilities that need them.
How it works
Import the files from a local drive as you normally would. Then use Drive Remapping to point the local path at the new HTTP destination — Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Wasabi, AWS, or your own HTTP host.
Once it’s working through Drive Remapping and streaming, press Commit to burn the changes into the database.
Important: create .wf cache files for every uploaded file. They make waveform drawing dramatically faster over the network.
