New License Activation

Thanks for purchasing a new basehead license. All activations start from the Activation tab — let’s get you running.

Open the Activation tab

Launch basehead. If the Activation tab isn’t visible, show it from the menu: Help → Activation.

Pick the device you want to bind to — or go CloudBased (recommended) — from the right side of the panel.

Create your DeviceSerial

Select the device you want to activate, click Create DeviceSerial, and read the on-screen instructions. You’ll be taken to the My Licenses page.

On any empty license container, click Activate — choose CloudBased, or paste in the DeviceSerial code that was just copied to your clipboard.

Download your .key file

Once the container is activated, click Download to get your .key file.

Drop the key into the Licenses folder

Back on the Activation tab, click Show ‘Licenses’ Folder to reveal the folder. Drop your downloaded .key file there to complete activation.

Set as Active

If you came from a Free or Trial license, head to the Licenses tab, select your purchased license, and click Set as Active so basehead launches with it from now on.
