Basic Actions

basehead is built for keyboard speed. Almost every action has a shortcut — once you know the handful below, you’ll spend most of your day not touching the mouse.

Command bar

Command bar UI

The command bar lives to the left of the Waveform View and exposes the actions you’ll use most. Hover over any button to see its name and shortcut. The full set of actions lives in the Actions menu.

The In-Line and Handles buttons are tied to Spot to Track. They only appear if your edition includes the advanced features — see Options › Target Apps for details.

Default shortcuts

Spot to Track — click the side arrow on the button to change Target App, or open Options › Target Apps for the full menu.

Copy to Transfer Path

Open Containing Folder

Open in Wave Editor

Transfer selected to Pool / Bin in the Target App

Taglist actions

The same actions, but applied to everything currently on your Taglist:

Shift+C
Copy Taglist to Transfer Path
Shift+S
Spot all Tagged files to the selected DAW
Shift+X
Transfer Taglist to Pool / Bin — sends any un-transferred Tagged files to the Target App, where supported.

Other useful shortcuts

Alt+F
Show Folder Contents — opens the folder of the selected record in the Results page.
Ctrl+Enter
Bypass record limit on a search — ignores the Max Records Returned set on the Options page and returns everything.
Force Show All Records is also available as an Actions menu item. It does the same thing as the Ctrl+Enter shortcut above — useful when you want it tied to a button click rather than a key combo.
