TEAMS — Getting Started After Purchase

Thanks for grabbing TEAMS! It turns your whole studio into one shared, permission-controlled SFX database over your LAN — unlimited seats, and it includes the required LAN License Server (LLS). Here’s how to get up and running.

TEAMS

What you just bought

Your TEAMS purchase created a new LAN license on your account that hosts your team. It starts empty (zero seats) and lives on your own LAN License Server (LLS). The steps below get the LLS running and move your existing basehead seats onto it.

Step 1 — Email us to move your seats

Email licensing@baseheadinc.com with the basehead licenses you want moved onto your LLS, and we’ll transfer them for you. This is a manual step on our end — we’ll confirm by email when it’s done.

Step 2 — Install the LAN License Server (LLS)

While you’re waiting, you can install the LLS. Download the LLS installer from the bottom of your My Downloads page and install it on a machine on your network (it can also host your shared DSS database). For the full walkthrough, see the LAN License Server (LLS) setup guide.

Step 3 — Activate & go

Once your seats are moved, relaunch basehead and point it at your LLS on the Licenses / Server tab (see the LLS setup guide if you need help connecting). TEAMS unlocks automatically — now set roles (admin · editor · curator · viewer) and scope which databases each team can see. Full feature details are in the TEAMS KB article.
