COMMON USB Binding Licensing QUESTIONS

 

Why don’t I see my license deposited in the iLok Manager?
We BIND to them just using the serial number just like any other USB Device.  So it will NOT show up in the iLok Manger ever.  Not to worry, it will not mess with any iLok protected software cuz we just read the serial number of this device at launch only to unlock the program and it never pings it again.

 

I switched to a new system and basehead is not seeing my device now. 

So for every new system…
First….Plug in the USB Device you bound to (You have NO idea how many people forgot to do this)
Then ‘Download’ your .key file from your ‘My Licensers’ page and drop it this folder.
~Documents/basehead/Licenses

I forgot where I saved my version  .key file to that I applied to my old PC/Mac.
If you applied it on a system in the past, you can find it here ~Documents/basehead/Licenses
Just copy this file to the new system in the same location.
You can also re-download it from your ‘My Licenses’ page also at anytime. 

What if I loose my the USB device my license is bound to or it gets damaged?
Just follow the instructions below to change binding your license over to your new one.
