Waveform View

The Waveform View  allows you to make selection, extract and reverse channels along with many other functions.
If you Click-Drag and wipe a purple range across it and release the mouse button it will select and ZOOM in on the Waveform.
To un-zoom press (Z) per level to unzoom or (A) to zoom out all the way full.

If you prefer that it does NOT zoom in when making selections then hold SHIFT and it will make a Yellow Range instead like the below image.  You can also toggle the option ‘Disable WF Zoom’ to always have this behavior.

When this yellow range is visible you can can either drag it by clicking in the top 1/3part of the WF between the yellow markers for with the DnD Bar. (mentioned below)

When visible, you can do Destructive Editing also.  You will see ‘Trim’ and ‘Delete’ buttons appear in the lower right of the WF.

DnD Bar (Drag-n-Drop Bar)

The DnD Bar is the empty area next to the waveform and is used to quickly drag a selected file or selection of a file to any desired location.  The file will  also be ran thru pitch/plugin processing unless ‘Force Ref’ is ON.

NOTE: the default location is the left side of the Waveform but from the Options/Waveform settings tab you can set it to be either on the right side of the center of the waveform.
