Spring drop, and it’s a monster! Import Watcher arrives, the database grows 8 user-definable fields, keystrokes are now possible to remap, and TWEAKER gets many refinements. This is what a month of head-down looks like.
12 Languages.
basehead now…Sprechen Sie Deutsch!
Nearly the entire program now works in 12 languages. Pick yours from the new Program Language dropdown — the whole UI re-skins on the fly. Some UI fitting is still pending, but it’ll help out non-English speakers immensely in the meantime.
Other than English we now speak: Deutsch, Français, Español, 日本語, 中文 (简体 + 繁體), 한국어, Italiano, Português, Русский, and Nederlands.
‘Imports’ Watcher.
Like a creepy neighbor.
Watches your ‘Import’ for changes and auto-scans + updates the DB on quit when you opt in. Flip it on per-Import inside the Imports node. Started life Ultra-only — landed for Standard users during the cycle, and Lite users got Rescan unlocked alongside it now that the Watchers have arrived.

8 User-Definable
DB Custom Fields.
Eight new custom database fields land on the Manage Databases page. Name them once and they show up everywhere in the program once added — search, results, details, all of it. Values also write into a <BASEHEAD> iXML chunk so they travel with the file. Copy/paste between DBs supported.
These map to fields that have been dormant in the schema since v2024.
User-Definable
KeyCommands.
Modify shortcuts your way. Open the new Shortcuts tab in the Options section and remap a way yo. See the full default KeyCommands list for every shortcut basehead ships with.

DSS (Database Sync Service)
- Disconnected Imports + Groups visibility moved from the DB into a
_localPrefs.dbfile — won’t disrupt DSS users on migration - Better sync-health checks + indicators for DBs that stop syncing

License Server (LLS)
- Search by Hostname in addition to IP

Voice Search

- Voice language can now be set independently of the program’s main UI language — change it where you turn it on in the search options
Marker Panel
- Auto-Detect with Sensitivity Sliders used for both CUE and Regions Markers to assist #tweaker workflows
File Format Additions
- AC3 + .opus — importing and playback (for now)
- FLAC — corrupt-tag check + skip during importing
DAW Integration
- Pro Tools — new SDK spots to selected region IN/OUT based on PT selection
- REAPER — stretching issue fixed (reinstall the RPI plugin from the full installer)
- REAPER — Force Ref. with multiple files spot fix on the new RPI
TWEAKER
- Slot Editor — double-click the TWEAKER waveform to pop a larger waveform for fine-tuning markers, regions, and trigger points
- Round Robin OFF mode added, with set-region as a trigger source
- ADSR Panel improvements + per-section resets
- “Bring to Foreground” now disabled while TWEAKER is visible — your DAW won’t pop forward when you drag to it
Search & UI
- Lock Block — new search block type that locks current results so you can search against them
- Large Time Display Panel — bigger Timecode readout you can now see across the room.
- Debug Log — new Filter… text box with the ability to save off as filtered
Misc other Fixes
- Audio Engine — fixed a strange bug causing multiple files to play for no reason. Still a mystery why, but it’s fixed. Extra stream flush added to
LoadStreams() - SmartLoop — reverts to previous state on click or SPACE (pause)
- Playhead — cleanly resumes playback instead of jumping to position 0
- Waveform View — looping fix when selecting at the end
- Results List — sorting fixed for tiny tiny files
- Play History — fix for PERF- files
- PSE Store — Download + Transfer issue fixed + lots of improvements
- Importing & Rescanning — new option to ignore the existing
_blacklist.xml - Destructive Editing — now asks if you want to discard edits, same as Markers
