[Closed] spot multichannel files onto separate tracks [Impossible without a proper API from Avid]

spot multichannel files to selected tracks with less channels each in Pro Tools. Have a quad file and want channel 1, 2 on one stereo track and 3, 4 on another. Now I have to create a quad track and then separate the 2 stereos. Better: place cursor on Stereo 1 and on Stereo 2 in DAW and then spot quad file.

Perhaps other solution: Spot in-Line if selected track has less channels than audio file
