Hi guys.

Just wondering if you could help me along.

We need to use different user accounts in our company for every worker.

Is it possible to backup all database with metadata on an already scanned library for reimport on another user account, so I don´t need to rescan the whole library, since it is already on an external drive put into a usb port on the same computer. So the paths should be the same, right?

Please help.

You should be able to simply load the same database file. You could even move the database file onto the drive the sound files are on so anyone can access the file from any account (just don't use the db file over a network connection as it can become very slow and prone to corruption).

Down the bottom left of the BH window is the db file you are using and the path it is being read from. Click this path icon and it allows you to select a db file in another location.

To make a backup or move the db file to another location simply look at where the file is and then open that path, copy the file and place it where it is easily accessible from any user on the local machine. When a user needs to access the database for the first time they simply click the database path icon above, select the db file and it should now load up. BH will automatically load the last db selected on next start.

Hopefully that solves your problem.
