As title said, it would be great to see what is in the file spectrally
Especially for long ambiences, it's much easier to recognize some patterns that way or to fine something interesting in 5hr long audio file.

I second this! I do record a lot of long ambiences, sometime 12hrs long and I don't think I will ever edit them 🙂 With spectrogram I would find interesting parts much faster while bgs editing.
